Monique has been living in the BVI since 1987 when she sailed into the BVI with her husband, Julian, author of the popular island novel, Sunfun Calypso (hence the name SunFun).

Monique Says: I immediately fell in love with the islands, their beauty, people and culture. My background in Brazil was public relations where I headed my own company organizing seminars, conferences and special occasions, so a natural progression was involvement with the vacation industry. I worked with the Moorings charter company for eight years in the customer service department in their bareboat division. Later I spent four years as a representative for a crewed yacht agency.

During my years in the BVI I have worked as a yacht chef, catered for villas, worked as a deck hand on super yachts and advised clients as a vacation consultant. I know the islands and the industry as well as anyone and, being resident on Tortola, I am immediately aware of any last minute changes (crew, new yacht/villa listings etc.) that might affect your holiday.
