This week I would love to share with you what I see as I look out my office window and while I drive around the island. I see boats, boats of all kinds, shapes and sizes. We are now in the cruising and chartering season. The Christmas winds are still up, with breezes between 18 to 22 knots. I have lived here for the past 21 years and it never ceases to amaze me how much I enjoy seeing so many vessels in the water. There are schooners, mega yachts, motor yachts, catamarans, and sailing boats. The British Virgin Islands is a water way of so many white sails during this time of the year. It’s so excite to be here as a sailing aficionado, I am in the right place at the right time. Come and charter in the BVI and experience the kaleidoscope of yachts in our blue waters. There are quite a few weeks to be filled and we might be able to arrange a discounted charter rate if the yachts are available for your dates.
Our daughter Amanda, who lives in the UK, is home for Christmas! Since we have re-launched SunfunBVI’s new website look, Amanda and I haven’t the opportunity to discuss what she think of the site. I was very excited to let her know that we have added a Blog page and the YouTube channel and that I am very preoccupied updating them both frequently.
So, with just a few more hours for a new year ahead, I was discussing with Amanda what to write this week. First we discussed how many changes have occurred in the BVI since she was last home for the summer; new government, new roads, new yachts in the crewed charter and bareboat fleets, the lovely weather since her arrival, how green the island is from the November rains etc. Upon deep reflection of the whole year I would like to say is Thank You.
We’re very grateful to you, our client’s for keeping us excited about what we do best. We value your patronage and appreciate your confidence in us. We’re thankful for the challenges that we have overcome this year and as I look around the British Virgin Islands, it really is the most beautiful place to be. I am very thankful to be living here and even more pleased to be able to share it with you.
I have taken a few photographs from one of our most beautiful beaches in the BVI. Cane Garden Bay is located just a few minutes of our home and the selected video, says it all!
Come visit us for the first time or come more often! As the sun goes down and tomorrow is another day, I wish you all a 2012 filled with peace, happiness and of course with more BVI experiences!
