The house has two master suites only, one with a private deck & outdoor shower, the other with direct access to the villa’s porch, deck & plunge pool. The downstairs bedroom can be set up with a king size bed or two twins.

This makes Villa Matija ideal for two couples or a family of four. A modern kitchen and home theatre/living room with a 58″ plasma TV and surround sound make it a great place to stay home and relax.

Generous outdoor space flows effortlessly inside giving the feel of being outside while inside or the other way around if you prefer (great when there’s a passing rain shower!)

Villa Matija is partially powered with solar energy using two solar hot water panels and twelve photovoltaic (PV) panels. Instead of a generator powered by fossil fuel Villa Matija has an alternative energy system that can run the house for modest amounts of time with little attention and quite some time with careful energy management. And don’t worry, our solar hot water is backed up by a traditional hot water heater that provides an abundant supply of hot water whatever time of day you need to shower.

While both bedrooms have air conditioning, we encourage our guests to leave the windows open at night with the fan on and the AC off to experience the local climate. Most evenings are cool with very pleasant sleeping weather.

Brewers Bay beach, one of the most beautiful in the BVI, is just a 3 minute drive down the hill. Cane Garden Bay, another favorite BVI beach, is a short 10 minute drive. Road Town, the capital of the BVI is also a 10 minute drive away, yet when you’re at Villa Matija, you feel like you’re in another world!

Blackbeard’s Hideaway, the BVI’s newest holiday rental villa is located on the private estate of Steele Point, a peninsula in West End Tortola, British Virgin Islands.

Each bedroom suite has a king bed, its own balcony, offering views of the tranquil Caribbean sea below and a private bathroom with an outdoor shower Blackbeard’s inviting ambiance, elegant appeal and unrivalled lofty ocean views from this secluded holiday villa  make this the perfect romantic vacation for two or a family of four.

This vacation villa is a spacious, open and airy two-bedroom home perched on the side of a valley overlooking Little Bay Beach – Tortola’s north side. The villa is surrounded by a 21/2 acre estate of tropical gardens and natural woodlands, entered by an electronic gate and long shaded driveway.

At the entrance to the vacation villa you will be greeted by a small fish pond with natural lilies and tropical flowers.  Every space has been utilized for your total enjoyment and relaxation. Soaring vaulted ceilings throughout add to the expansive feeling and airy atmosphere as you enter the dining/kitchen and living room areas. All fixtures and fittings are post modern and delightful. Doors open onto the garden-bordered pool terrace and spacious covered al fresco dining deck. Relaxing and comfortable, this beautiful setting is perfect for your vacation for two or a family of four.

The master bedroom pavilion is separated from the rest of the villa by a sparkling 8×30 ft. swimming pool and is wrapped by a covered deck with hammock and seating area enjoying the magnificent panoramic view of Guana Island. Screen sliders on opposite sides of the room allow the balmy Caribbean breezes to pass across the pool and right over the king size bed in the middle of the large room. This master bedroom is huge, extremely well laid out with a large TV and surround sound. En suite bathroom, small fridge and a verandah are at the side.

A second bedroom with bath is located in the main house where either twins or a king bed can be requested for couples or small families. A small office with Wi fi is set up in this room.  A 4 wheel drive vehicle is recommended.
