What type of boat to charter? CATAMARAN, MONOHULL or Motor Yacht Charter?

Catamarans

Catamarans are more stable and provide a large lay-out. Cockpits are roomy; foredecks are fun and spacious with trampolines for sunning or watching the water race by while underway. Cabins are larger and offer more privacy.

Mono hulls

Mono hulls are for the traditionalists. They heel when sailing to windward but point higher. Below decks the layout is often more conventional with fine joinery and traditional fittings.

Both yachts are well suited for chartering. It’s your preference that will determine which sort of vessel is right for you you.

What are you paying for as you book a crewed charter yacht?

1. Total Privacy
2. A professionally licensed captain and a fully trained chef/hostess, including safety training (STWA certified) and CPR.
3. Yacht and Passenger insurance (Civil Liability only)
4. Most of all meals on board, beverages (sodas, waters, juices), beer, wine and a fully stocked bar. Vintage champagne and wines of your preference can be arranged prior to your arrival.
5. Port & marina fees at port of embarkation/disembarkation only
6. All leisure and water sports amenities available on board
7. All linens and towels and yacht fuel.

* Travel insurance is recommended

*Tipping the crew is both customary and discretionary.  The standard practice is to award 10-20% of the charter fee, based on your level of satisfaction, at the end of the charter.

Motor Yacht Charters

Compared to sailboats, motor yachts have a shallower draft, which allows them to enter smaller and shallower harbours. They are well equipped these days with an array of technological computer gadgets, and luxurious facilities.Motor yachts are designed to be very comfortable, spacious, richly decorated and lavishly furnished.

For chartering, some of the keys features include stability and speed, ensuring that you can visit many places in little time.  Speed creates freedom of movement and brings about a great sense of excitement and pleasure.

It is common for most crewed motor yachts to be chartered with a crew including: the captain, chef, deck hand and hostess. Also sometimes an engineer will be onboard, to oversee all the mechanical (engines, air conditioning, generators) needs of the yacht in order for you, the guests, to enjoy all the amenities available for a fun holiday which will grant experiences of a life time.
