This year the Catamaran Aletheia joined the fleet of the crewed charter yachts in BVI waters. A strikingly impressive crewed charter boat, she is in the good hands of the professional crew charter couple, Captain Donald Harper, his wife First-Mate/Chef Audrey Harper.
Aletheia, the Greek word for ‘disclosure’, ‘truth’ or more accurately ‘the state of not being hidden,’ stands by its meaning providing guests aboard with an elating sailing vacation. Aletheia is a catamaran designed by naval architect Olivier Racoupeau, well know for designed yachts especially for charters with your total comfort in mind, nothing was compromised.
The BVI crewed charter catamaran Aletheia holds 10 guests in five en suite staterooms, including a Master Suite with a vast rainwater-style shower. The very contemporary saloon design uses simplicity and style in the layout, adhering to a warm aesthetic in its entirety. The fly-bridge is accessible on both sides of the yacht by a highly secured stairway with benches, side tables and a relaxing sofa.
It does not emerge as a surprise that Aletheia crewed charter catamaran were the winners of the award for Best Multihull over 57ft during the BVI Charter Yacht Show in 2013 and 2014. Complementing their early success, the Antigua Charter Yacht Show last year decorated the boat with an award in the Eco Table Setting contest in which they exhibited an amazing display.
Additional notches on their ‘green’ ethos are found in the fact that the yacht uses biodegradable cleaning agents, encourages reef-safe products, is equipped with rain catchers, and utilizes biodegradable corn bags in place of traditional black plastic bags. Hygienic aluminum bottles are exercised instead of plastic bottles and further, the yacht is fitted with a modern reverse osmosis filter system, producing its own clean, great-tasting drinking water. All on-board and navigation lights are LEDs, for further reduced energy consumption.
